About
A family shop in
Athens, Tennessee
Who we are
M&K Classics is a family shop in Athens, Tennessee, run day to day by Justin. We specialize in restoration prep for 1955–57 Chevy Tri-Fives: frame-off blasting, rust repair and primer. We also do sandblasting, metal fabrication, and priming and painting for farm equipment, lawn furniture and industrial parts. On the repair and tech side, we do performance upgrades for ATVs, buggies and motorcycles, repair and build computers, and set up networks, LED video walls and home security systems.
Marvin and Kay
M&K stands for Marvin and Kay. They took an auto body class to work on their own cars. Before long they were working on friends’ cars too, and in 1982 that turned into a business.
Kay was the first woman to graduate the auto body class at the Athens vocational center.
Now Kay’s son Justin is bringing the shop back.
Who you’ll meet
- Justin runs the shop day to day.
- Kay is in the office, with help from Justin’s sister-in-law Megan.

- Dale Williams is our lead mechanic.
Starting back up
We're restarting the shop and getting everything set up again. We're not taking customer work yet, but we plan to reopen in Spring 2027.
How we work
Estimates are free. We'll look at your project and tell you plainly what we think it needs. For blasting jobs, we can do a 15-minute test blast first to confirm the estimate range before any work starts.
We keep pricing fair. If a job comes in under the estimate, you pay the actual cost. If we run into something we couldn’t see up front, we’ll contact you about it before making any adjustments.
Area we serve: Athens and the greater Knoxville–Chattanooga area. Over the years, folks have brought cars to us from all over the country.
